Well, I hate this movie costume. Carlotta was a proud lady form the upper classes and she knows, how to properly dress. Carlotta from the movie has a daub style, she was annoyed to others people. Creators did from her character a caricature. Shame. That lady had of course some bad moods and requirements decent divas, but without exaggeration!
And she wear a crinoline. Next woman in that movie, wear a crinoline.

Another exaggeration. Countess from Il Muto in the original POTO had a refined, sweet style, and that costume from the movie is...to much daub. Wig is to big, gown is really to big! One bad step, and she can fall down.
I like her makeup. In the theatre, stylists haven't a time to makeup for actress who play Carlotta, so good, that in the movie they made her a white face as it should be.
